Join us on September 3, 1 PM – 2 PM Eastern for the next virtual quarterly town hall. The purpose of these meetings is to communicate key safety and health issues and challenges, as well as discuss enforcement, regulatory, and outreach activities at the national and local levels.
The September 3 town hall will focus on impairment in construction. Jobs within the construction industry are often inherently hazardous. Impairment concerns resulting from substance use, heat exposure or fatigue can be significant issues adding to the substantial risks to worker safety and overall productivity. Dave Madaras of Chesapeake Region Safety Council will offer information regarding the need to focus on safety, the accident prevention process and what organizations can do to prevent impairment on the job and address it when it is present.
