There’s still a short time left to register for AGC of America’s upcoming Collective Bargaining Seminar.  The half-day seminar will take place in the morning of March 9 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.  The seminar is part of AGC’s Annual Convention, but AGC members and chapter staff not attending the convention may also attend.

The seminar will cover legal, practical, and strategic considerations for management-side negotiators. Attendees will enhance their knowledge and skills by learning about collective bargaining laws, best practices in preparing for and conducting negotiations, communication skills, and more.  The seminar is designed for beginners, but experienced negotiators should also find the program valuable.

Advanced registration is required.  Convention registrants may register for the seminar as part of the convention process for an extra fee of $50 here.  AGC members and chapter staff who will not be attending the convention may register for the seminar alone for a fee of $100 here.

The convention will feature two additional sessions of particular interest to union contractors.  On March 10 at 10:45 a.m., the Union Contractors Committee will host the State of the (Laborers’) Union session, where Terry O’Sullivan, general president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, will be the guest speaker.  On March 11 at 9:30 a.m., the Union Contractors Steering Committee will hold a meeting open to all members of the Union Contractors Committee and chapter staff attending the Convention.  The meeting will include a roundtable discussion of labor relations developments around the country.
