The 2025 Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Fly-In, held May 7-8 at the National Mall Hilton Hotel, brought together transportation construction industry leaders from across the country to advocate for long-term infrastructure investment and policy improvements. The event kicked off with a legislative briefing that featured key voices from Capitol Hill, including Chairman Sam Graves (R-Mo.) and Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-Wash.) of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee. Attendees also heard from the Federal Highway Administration’s Chief Counsel Jay Payne, and Mr. Thomas Smith, Executive Director of the American Society of Civil Engineers, who offered valuable updates on the state of infrastructure as highlighted in the newest edition of the Infrastructure Report Card.

Chairman Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee capped off the briefing by emphasizing the Senate’s commitment to advancing sound transportation policy. The high-level speakers demonstrated the continued strength of the TCC’s unified voice in shaping federal infrastructure decisions.

On May 8, TCC participants fanned out across Capitol Hill for a full day of meetings with members of Congress and their staff. These face-to-face conversations focused on ensuring the timely delivery of infrastructure investments and preserving the bipartisan momentum behind surface transportation programs.

Pictured above talking about transportation priorities is U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) and Al Stanley, Vice Chairman of AGC’s Highway & Transportation Division.
