Without proper flow-down, your subcontracting practices might wash your company out. It is crucial to flow your prime contract to your subcontracts and supply contracts. Even minor word changes in your contracts can dramatically shift risk and alter flow-down rights and obligations. To help you avoid these pitfalls, ConsensusDocs is presenting a two-part webinar series on subcontracting negotiation best practices on October 22nd and 29th.

Webinar 1: Proven Tips to Avoid Subcontract Disputes: Focusing on flow-down, execution, and administration
Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 | 2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. EDT

Webinar 2: Proven Tips to Avoid Subcontract Disputes: Part Deux, Getting Out of Trouble
Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 | 2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. EDT

*If you are unable to attend either webinar, register today and receive complimentary recordings of the live webinars.

Not only do you need to keep an eye on your contract terms, but you also need to communicate and coordinate critical project milestones, such as a baseline schedule and updates. Contract administration can be key, and taking control of notice obligations is vital. Doing so will help avoid a two-front war between obligations upstream with owner clients and downstream with subcontracting and supply partners. Our expert speakers will guide you through strategies to avoid being caught between competing demands from both sides while being mindful of your rights and obligations.

The subcontracting negotiations presentations will deepen your understanding of critical contracting terms such as termination for cause versus termination for convenience and practical considerations when using your contract like a hammer or scapple. You will also learn about subcontractor default prevention and mitigation techniques, including the importance of a robust prequalification program. As a bonus, attendees will learn how to access free ConsensusDocs prequalification forms to help with this process.
