We’re all eager to get back to in-person conferences, but you won’t want to miss the exceptional lineup of environmental sessions we’ve assembled for 2021’s Construction Safety, Health & Environmental Virtual Conference on July 20-22. That’s why we’ve slashed the price for this year’s virtual conference and made it free to all AGC members.  Participate at your own pace and learn about climate, community, corporate transparency, species, and water issues.

With your membership, you will gain access to three days worth of sessions highlighting the most critical safety, health and environmental compliance and risk issues impacting the business of construction. The virtual setting provides flexibility to accommodate your schedule. And you can even pursue continuing education credits as your time allows: watch live, view session replays, or a mix of both.  This is made possible with the help of the event sponsors: please extend your thanks to HCSS Software Solutions, InEight, Milwaukee Tools, Mobile Medical, Procore and Zurich.  Visit the event website for more details and to register: https://cshec.heysummit.com/

Here’s a snapshot of the environmental sessions:

  • State of Play at the Regulatory Agencies: Federal Environmental Update: Receive a status update from the legal counsel for three national coalitions working on Clean Water Act section 404 (dredge and fill/wetlands) permitting, stormwater, and species related concerns.
  • Deep Dive into EPA’s Stormwater Agenda: Hear the latest straight from EPA.
  • The Intersection of Climate and Construction: Join AGC and contractor members in a discussion on what that the “all of government approach” to climate means for the construction industry—our projects and firms.
  • Commitment to Build a Sustainable Future: Learn from your peers about a new third-party sustainability commitment program being piloted by BuildingGreen.
  • Advancing the Project within the Community: Explore ways the contractor can be an advocate for the project within the communities and diffuse environmental stressors that may arise on projects.
  • Corporate Environmental Transparency: What Does It Mean? Learn about climate and sustainability reporting requirements, trends, and tools.

Check out the plenary and safety track sessions online when you register at https://cshec.heysummit.com/.  For more information, contact Melinda Tomaino at melinda.tomaino@agc.org.
