AGC of America is launching a first-ever task force — the AGC Task Force on Decarbonization and Carbon Reporting — to address the real challenges around reporting and reducing carbon emissions in the construction industry. Over the coming year, this newly formed Task Force will develop an industry playbook as well as deliver educational outreach on carbon reporting. The Task Force will hold a virtual townhall meeting for members on August 16 to offer an overview on the basics of carbon reporting.

For us to better understand the sustainability-related activities you currently engage in, please take this brief survey. Your feedback will help the task force develop resources that meet the unique needs of the construction industry. Take the survey now.

The members of the new task force are (*founding members) —

  1. Myrrh Caplan, Skanska* (Chair)
  2. Joe Rozza, Ryan Companies* (Vice Chair)
  3. Raven Adams, Granite Construction
  4. Fernando Arias, Clark Construction*
  5. Elizabeth Fifer, Kiewit
  6. Julia Gisewite, Turner Construction Company
  7. Julianne Laue, Mortenson
  8. Ryan Poole, DPR Construction*

You can learn about carbon reporting from task force members at AGC’s Construction Safety Health and Environmental Conference on July 25-27 in Nashville, TN (more information here), and at a virtual townhall on August 16 at 2pm Eastern Time (save the date).

AGC’s climate change initiative seeks to ensure the industry plays a lead role in shaping climate change policies that impact construction and helps build a greener future. Learn more at www.agc.org/climate-change.
