On October 2, AGC joined hundreds of local, state, and federal organizations in urging President Biden and the administration to use all of its authorities to end the East Coast port strike. The strike along the East Coast began on October 1and the longer it persists it is expected to have a broad economic impact by disrupting and delaying imports of critical goods and components for many industries. The construction industry could see certain materials, parts or equipment in short supply if the strike continues.
