As part of the AASHTO–AGC–ARTBA Joint Committee, AGC participates each summer in the four AASHTO regional annual conferences. These meetings provide an invaluable forum for contractors to engage with state DOT heads, their staff, and FHWA representatives in each region on key policy issues affecting the highway construction industry.

At each conference, AGC members participate in two sessions:

  • AGC Caucus Dinner & Meeting — the evening before the policy meetings, AGC members gather to discuss the topics for the year and enjoy dinner together.
  • Joint Policy Breakfast/Lunch — with AASHTO and ARTBA delegates, where participants discuss the year’s topics and establish top-line policy goals. The feedback from these sessions is used to develop joint policy papers.

Participation is a unique opportunity to influence policy, connect with state DOT and FHWA leaders, and network with peers. Please feel free to reach out to Jonathon Porter if you would like to join.
