On May 22, during Mental Health Month, AGC of America received international recognition, from the UK’s National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work, for our leadership in advancing mental health and suicide prevention in the U.S. construction industry. This acknowledgment highlights the powerful impact of our programs, resources, and partnerships in addressing one of the most pressing challenges facing our workforce today.

Mandi Kime (Director of Safety, AGC of Washington) and Brandon Anderson (VP of Safety, AGC of Missouri), co-chairs of the AGC Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Task Force, were invited to join Members of Parliament, representatives from the British Government and Industry leaders at the Houses of Parliament within the Palace of Westminster, London to accept the award on behalf of AGC of America, and receive individual recognition for their service to the industry in this space.

This recognition reaffirms the importance of continuing to build a stronger, healthier industry for all. Thank you to everyone who’s supported this mission. Together, we’re leading the way and making a difference.

The National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work

In December 2015, The National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work was established to bring together the British Government, leading academics and the 50 largest employers across the United Kingdom from all sectors of the economy to share and improve the health and wellbeing of those at work.
